Katy TX – March 29th – The Katy Rock Shop is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its highly anticipated Dino Park! With life-sized dinosaur rides, engaging exhibits, and fun for all ages, Dino Park promises an unforgettable experience for families, dinosaur enthusiasts, and adventure seekers alike.
Guests will be transported back in time as they hop on the backs of T-rex and Triceratops. Explore interactive displays and uncover fascinating dino facts. Designed to educate and entertain, Dino Park combines the wonder of prehistoric creatures with state-of-the-art features.

the Katy Rock Shop's Dino Park
The Katy Rock Shop invites you for a prehistoric experience that is educational, rewarding, and exciting! Come and take a walk on the wild side with a stomping Triceratops; or sit aloft, on top of a bucking and chomping T-rex!
The rides are designed for people aged three on up and under two hundred pounds. While the Katy Rock Shop is open, T-rex can be operated with adult supervision, the Triceratops needs reservation to assist with this walkin’ dino.
Before purchasing your ticket, please sign the e-waiver form here on our website, or through the QR code near the register in the shop.
please bring a photo of your signed waiver to get your token for the ride.
The T-rex ride will be open during normal business hours; however, the Triceratops will be open once a week (contact us to check availability for your week).

Have you ever wondered what it takes to make rocks and fossils relevant? We decided the answer was to bring the prehistoric giants back to life and spark wonder. Dino Park began as an idea to keep our kid’s and everyone else’s engaged and excited to learn about natural history, how the Earth works, and of course rocks! Our dream was to create a place where families could explore, learn, and bond, leading people into a hobby of rock, mineral and fossil collecting. Collecting inevitably leads us to be outdoors, and our mission is to keep families out in the sun and under the stars. From intricate research on the dinosaur texture and paint, to ornately detailed movement and sounds, all designed to bring to life species extinct for millions of years!
Astrid and Jacob are both degreed Geologists and have been passionate about mineral and fossil collecting their entire lives. “We hope that bringing our passion and excitement to Katy Texas, this inspires another generation of future scientists”
