This is a Knightia fish fossil from the Clupeidae family, found on the Green River Formation in Wyoming and dated from the Eocene (48.5-53.5  mya). The curved shaped fish makes this piece so unique!

This plate weights 1lb 5oz and measures 7 x 5 3/4 x 1/2 inches. The fish fossil measures 2 inches.
