This is a Knightia fish fossil from the Clupeidae family, found on the Green River Formation in Wyoming and dated from the Eocene (48.5-53.5  mya). The thickness of the fish makes this piece so cool!

This plate weights 2lb 3oz and measures 7 x 5 x 1 inches. The fish fossil measures 2 1/2 inches in lenght.
